What isĀ Adaptive Web?

Adaptive web design is a design approach that aims to provide a tailored user experience for different devices, screen sizes, and resolutions. Unlike Responsive design, which adjusts the layout based on the available screen space, Adaptive design uses predetermined layouts that are specifically designed for different devices and screen sizes.

Adaptive web design involves creating different versions of the same website or application, each tailored to a specific device or screen size. When a user accesses the website, the server detects the device and delivers the appropriate version of the site. This approach allows designers to optimise the user experience for each device, providing a more consistent and intuitive interface across all devices.

One of the advantages of adaptive web design is that it allows designers to target specific devices and platforms with customised designs, improving the overall user experience. However, it can also be more complex and time-consuming to develop, as designers must create and maintain multiple versions of the same website or application. Additionally, it may be less flexible than Responsive design since it requires specific designs for each device type.
